I am sure most of you have not heard of this movie before which is the main reason why I decided to do a review on it. It is a documentary on wine making and focuses on the lead singer of Tool/Puscifer/A Perfect Circle’s Maynard James Keenan and his winery. His winery is the only one in Arizona. The company is called Arizona Stronghold.
This movie does a great job explaining the processes and difficulties in making a good wine. I learned a lot of interesting tidbits from this movie but I am not going to share with you because I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
This movie has some beautiful scenery of the Arizona lands and many other grape fields. It has its funny moments because if any of you know Maynard he is quite a character! You do not have to be a Maynard fan to enjoy this movie. I think it appeals to all people as long as you are over 21 .
I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars. I learned a lot and it kept me entertained the whole way through. Not only did it make me want to pick up some Perfect Circle and old Tool albums it also got me interested in purchasing some of Maynard’s wine so I can try some for myself.
