Movie Review: Paul 2011

Synopsis: Two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.

This movie is by the guys who brought us Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.  If you don’t know who they are yet then I will tell you.  It is Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.  They are two multitalented British guys who write the movies and also act in them.  The movie is a comedy if you couldn’t tell by the picture like all of the other movies they do but they have a great story to tell as well.  This movie also stars Jason Bateman and Jane Lynch.  The voice of Paul is Seth Rogen.

This movie is not like other alien movies.  It is Rated R so it has a lot of swears and crude jokes but it is hilarious.  The alien is CGI I believe but it looks very realistic and is definitely not poorly done. 

I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars.  If you are a fan of the other previous movies by this crew then you gotta watch this one.  It is just as good if not better than Shaun of the Dead.  This movie is basically an R rated version of ET and brought to us like no one else could.  These two talented writers are finding their niche and building a big fan base.  As long as you two keep producing quality movies like this on, you will always have my money.  Cityboy out!
