Music Review: DevilDriver-Beast 2011

For those of you who don’t know who DevilDriver is, it is the former lead singer of Coal Chamber.  They are heavy metal music and of course not for everybody. I however am a fan but I want to review a bunch of different variety of CDs since I enjoy music from many genres.  With that said here we go. 
It is packed with 12 thrashing speed metal tracks that are sure you make you want to punch somebody.  Special Edition comes with 3 bonus tracks with two new tracks and Grinfucked Live version.I like to listen to some DevilDriver when I am out mowing the lawn or working out.  Their first single came out a few weeks back called Dead to Rights.  Below is the song if you dare to listen!  When this song was released online at RoadRunner Records it crashed their servers from so many people downloading.

The tracks I liked the most were Shitlist and Talons Out(Teeth Sharpened).  The opening riff in Blur was impressive as well.  Blur is my favorite track on the CD so if you’re a fan definitely check out that song and tell me what you think.  Crowns of Creation was another awesome track.
All in all this is an awesome cd from DevilDriver.  I rate it 4 stars out of 5 but again you gotta like that type of music.  DevilDriver seem to evolve more and more as a band and tend to slow things down at various times in the songs.  They use their skills to get some amazing riffs that keep you headbanging and involved throughout the entire CD.
