Are you Jaded? I'm not!

Well I wasn't sure what I was going to write about but then it just kind of hit me… It’s always easy to write about something if it’s something you might be dealing with in your own current life. I’m gonna take a minute and ask all you readers to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you are giving you’re best. If you are in ALL aspects in your life then I guess you can click the x in the top right corner of your page and close the computer… If you not happy, maybe you’ll want to read on a bit and just maybe I'll shed some light on something for ya.

The term “jaded” gets used a lot by people who have been burnt, screwed over, or have lost trust in something or someone… I would like to tell you that if you feel they are jaded you just might be missing out on some pretty good stuff… For you to be jaded means you are not willing to give your best in the next endeavor that presents itself and that’s a pretty sad thing.

Think about it… Let’s say you were in a bad relationship, we’ve all been there, I know I have. Now we say out loud to our friends, to ourselves in the mirror I’m jaded, I've been lied to, cheated on, trust broken, I will never do that again the way I did before. This way of thinking will now effect your next relationship because you’re telling him/her you won't give what you once gave because it didn’t work, therefore you won’t do it again so they will not/can not get the best of you… Why would you want someone if they weren't giving you their best and why would they want you if they felt you weren't giving them yours. Wow!! That unfair and not very promising.

Now this applies to all aspects of life, I just used an example that fits in my life and I’m sure many others too. To be jaded is to sell yourself short to what might be something great, and why the hell would you want to do that. Missing opportunity is maybe the worst thing that can happen to someone... and might I point out that the person or situation that left you feeling the way do still has control of you in your future in a negative way and why would you want to give them that satisfaction that THEY took and killed the best of you?

My suggestion to you is be grateful that you went through it and now you are that much smarter to see that there is bad out there and what to look for. I also suggest that you jump with both feet into the good that comes your way, simply because you have earned it and deserve it. You have seen the bad, and you need to take the good and run with it, embrace it and don’t limit yourself due to your past… You’re not learning from it if it holds you back.

That’s it for today, I’ll be back with some more wisdom.
