A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.
This movie stars the girl from Kick Ass as the young female vampire. The acting is well done by the young kids in this movie. The movie is pretty strange and different. It is boring at some parts but in the end it has a decent story.
The movie is obviously trying to capitalize on the ever growing vampire genre due to True Blood and Twilight series. It kind of succeeds on having a different story. Where I think it fails is having the movie Rated R. It has a few gory parts and some swears but the story just wasn’t good enough to be Rated R. I would have preferred it to be PG-13 with a little less gore then it could appeal more to more of an audience.
All in all it is worth a watch but just don’t expect to be wowed by it. I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
