Movie Review: Adventureland

Synopsis: Recent High School graduate James Brennan's (Jesse Eisenberg) dreams of going to an Ivy League school in New York City are crushed after his parent's career setback. So he is forced to spend his summer working at a local amusement park in order to make an attempt at paying for college. Adventureland seems like a dead end, boring job until he meets Emily Lewin (Kristen Stewart) who he consiquently falls in love with. These young carnies go through painful and unforgettable lessons about life, love and trust, as well as james finding out what he truely values.

This is a cute movie set in the summer of 1987. The park Adventureland is actually Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Which is close to where im from! So I thought this would be an interesting movie to review. If you have ever been to Kennywood its pretty neat to see such rides as the Musiq Express and the giant swings, as well as numerous game booths.

As far as rating goes, id give this a 4 out of 5. The story line is well played out but it tends to get boring at times. BUT its made by the director of Super Bad so you know it has to be relatively funny!

This has been another review by yours truely, Smooterbub.

Enjoy!

Thank you! I appreciate it! There are MANY more to come...including the new Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides.
